Peers Victoria is a peer based, grass roots organization for people in sex work or trade on Lekwungen territory. Through direct service delivery and partnerships, Peers provides outreach and drop-in support services, advocacy and public education, with a focus on current and former sex workers. This position would be affiliated with the QomQem Coastal Connections outreach team. QomQem is an Indigenous-led outreach program that developed in partnership with Peers Victoria Resources Society. QomQem offers harm reduction and health care services to Indigenous peoples who are unhoused, precariously housed, and who may be using substances and/or alcohol.

This position is posted for 20-35 hours per week at $30 per hour. The position is funded until March 31, 2023 with the possibility of a funding renewal.

We are hiring! Casual drop-in program facilitators

The Drop-in Program Facilitator – casual position— works under the Manager of Programming and
Counselling Services, alongside other team members and is skilled in providing harm reduction, group
facilitation, workshop delivery and general support when needed. The Drop-in Facilitator must respond
rapidly and sensitively to the needs of the participants who access the Peers Drop-In Centre. The Dropin Program Facilitator will work collaboratively with staff across Peers programming to deliver a continuum of ethical, peer-based, responsive supports informed by our service participants perspectives
and preferences.

Job details
• As needed, shifts are 4 hours each during drop in, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
• Pay rate $26/hour
• Basic First Aid and Food Safe required
• Criminal Record Check required

Multiple positions available ranging from 3-5 regular shifts per week, or casual on call
positions.
Hours will be 10am-5pm or 11am-6pm, subject to change based on program needs.
Positions will be located at Capital City Centre, Russell St, Catherine, and Spaken housing and
