The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations (such as payroll, invoices, expenses), as well as budget preparation and monitoring, report writing, and the annual review and audit of Peers Victoria’s financial state. Previous experience in the nonprofit sector is an asset as this position will be required to monitor budgets for funding of the agency.

Pay is $32-$40 an hour depending on experience. 15 hours per week including 3 hours on location.

We are hiring! Sacred Meeting & Outreach Coordinator

Sacred is a group made up of Indigenous folks that currently or formerly worked the sex trade. They meet monthly to connect and share experiences as Indigenous sex workers and to draw strength from culture and coming together.  The Sacred Outreach Coordinator’s role is to support the functioning of the outreach program, driving in pairs or threes to supportive housing sites and encampments to offer outreach support to folks.

This position is posted for 15 hours per week at $30 per hour, with the possibility to increase hours.

Peers is Hiring!!! Indigenous Outreach Team Program Lead

Peers is hiring a Program Lead for our Indigenous Outreach Team.

Reporting to the Indigenous Programs Director and in partnership with the First Nations Health
Authority, the Indigenous Outreach Program Lead works to provide support services to
unsheltered and precariously housed Indigenous people.

In recognition of the urgent need for support for all unsheltered individuals and the importance
of recognizing existing relationships that have been built, the Program Lead will ensure the daily
operation of the Indigenous Outreach Team at Peers. This includes organizing outreach routes
and shifts for Outreach Workers to ensure that necessities and supports to individuals are being
received during outreach activities. This position will also work closely with the Director of
Indigenous Programs to support peer staff on outreach shifts. The Program Lead will also consult
and work collaboratively with other outreach organizations and housing providers.

This position is posted at 25 hours per week at $29 – $32 per hour based on skill and previous experience. Days of the week and times of the day are flexible, but general outreach shifts are Monday to Thursday 10:30-3:30 pm with time built in before or after outreach shifts for administrative duties.
