Please join PEERS Victoria on the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 19 for “Decriminalizing the Sex Industry: Beyond the Myths and Misconceptions.” Check out this great lineup of participants who will be at the event to share their thoughts on why decriminalization of sex work is essential in Canada:

  • Catherine Healy, founder of New Zealand Prostitutes Collective and leader of efforts that decriminalized NZ’s sex industry in 2003
  • Dr. Sarah Hunt, Kwagiulth writer & activist whose work features in Selling Sex: Experience, advocacy and research on sex work in Canada
  • Chris Atchison, lecturer at Simon Fraser University researching nature of power relations between buyers and sellers of sex
  • Natasha Potvin – PEERS Victoria board member, former sex worker
  • Lisa Ordell – Masters in educational psychology & leadership, sex worker
